Hi guys! Thanks for coming by and celebrating Ivy Reads’ 1 Year Blogoversary! Please do read this page to help promote and donate for my blogoversary! Thank you!!

Today I will be giving away…

Set fifty years apart, two independent stories—Ben’s told in words and Rose’s in pictures—weave back and forth with mesmerizing symmetry. How they unfold and ultimately intertwine will surprise you, challenge you, and leave you breathless with wonder.

Ever since his mom died, Ben feels lost.
At home with her father, Rose feels alone.

He is searching for someone, but he is not sure who.
She is searching for something, but she is not sure what.

When Ben finds a mysterious clue hidden in his mom’s room,
When a tempting opportunity presents itself to Rose

Both children risk everything to find what’s missing.

With over 460 pages of original drawings and playing with the form he invented in his trailblazing debut novel, The Invention of Hugo Cabret, Brian Selznick once again sails into uncharted territory and takes readers on an awe-inspiring journey. Rich, complex, affecting and beautiful, Wonderstruck is a stunning achievement from a uniquely gifted artist and visionary.

AND

It happens at the start of every November: the Scorpio Races. Riders attempt to keep hold of their water horses long enough to make it to the finish line. Some riders live. Others die.

At age nineteen, Sean Kendrick is the returning champion. He is a young man of few words, and if he has any fears, he keeps them buried deep, where no one else can see them.

Puck Connolly is different. She never meant to ride in the Scorpio Races. But fate hasn’t given her much of a chance. So she enters the competition — the first girl ever to do so. She is in no way prepared for what is going to happen.

Hi everybody! As you can see, Ivy Reads, has a NEW DESIGN!!
I was thinking of getting a new design because my book blog has reached one years old!
Originally, I was going to put this theme live on November 8, the exact one year mark, however, I just can’t wait so I decided to put it up six days early!

This new theme is made by Brittany over at Nice Girls Read Books!!

Thanks Brittany for the theme! She worked on my theme pretty fast and I really like what she has done. I feel like this theme is more simplistic and professional-looking.

Let me know what your thoughts are on this theme!
I won’t be changing themes for quite some time!

Dreamless by Josephine Angelini
Releases on March 29, 2012 from HarperTeen

The only thing I don’t like about the cover is that we can’t see the face of the girl. I think if we are able to see a little more, it’ll look better. Overall, I do like the cover, but I like the cover of Starcrossed more.

What do you think of the cover?

Hi guys! Thanks for coming by and celebrating Ivy Reads’ 1 Year Blogoversary! Please do read this page to help promote and donate for my blogoversary! Thank you!!

Today I will be giving away…

Seventeen-year-old Lochan and sixteen-year-old Maya have always felt more like friends than siblings. Together they have stepped in for their alcoholic, wayward mother to take care of their three younger siblings. As defacto parents to the little ones, Lochan and Maya have had to grow up fast. And the stress of their lives—and the way they understand each other so completely—has also also brought them closer than two siblings would ordinarily be. So close, in fact, that they have fallen in love. Their clandestine romance quickly blooms into deep, desperate love. They know their relationship is wrong and cannot possibly continue. And yet, they cannot stop what feels so incredibly right. As the novel careens toward an explosive and shocking finale, only one thing is certain: a love this devastating has no happy ending.
